Huan Lai is a predoctoral researcher at the Department of Communication, University of Vienna, supervised by Prof. Hajo Boomgaarden. Her doctoral research focuses on migration-related social media repertoires and digital support practices in Europe.

Before joining the University of Vienna, she completed her Master’s degree at the University of Zurich and worked with the Big Data and Data Science team in the Statistics Division of United Nations ESCAP.
