Apeksha Shetty is a PhD candidate in the project “Emotional Misinformation—The Interplay of Emotion and Misinformation Spreading on Social Media”, supervised by Annie Waldherr, David Garcia, and Hannah Metzler, where she studies how socio-affective factors influence the spread of information and how these factors can be harnessed to reduce the spread of misinformation on social media platforms. She graduated from the Erasmus Mundus Journalism Master Program, where she studied at Aarhus University, Denmark and the University of Amsterdam (UVA), specializing in political communication.
