Muhammad (Ruzza) Noor Fakhruzzaman is a PhD research fellow funded by the Ernst-Mach Grant ASEA-UNINET and supervised by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Annie Waldherr. His PhD project focuses on Media Intergroup Bias in Indonesian Online News. He uses Indonesian-based Embedding Transformers to detect and analyze framing in the news.

Before joining as a PhD fellow, he was (on temporary leave) an assistant professor in Data Science at Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia. Ruzza achieved his Master's degree co-majored in Human-Computer Interaction and Mass Communication at Iowa State University, and his Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Indonesia.
