Alina Nikolaou was an uni:docs fellow and Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna, supervised by Hajo G. Boomgaarden and Sophie Lecheler. Her research interests include immersive narration in Virtual Reality in the context of civic and non-profit communications as well as its impact on perception, attitudes and behaviors. She gained her Master's degree from the University of Vienna in 2017 with a thesis entitled "Immersing into the Political: The impact of Virtual Reality on the Power Gap".
