Annika is a research associate (pre-doc) at the University of Vienna as a part of the project Books on Screen (https://books-on-screen.univie.ac.at/en/). She studied Psychology (BSc & MSc) at the University of Vienna with a focus on Research Methods and Statistics and holds an additional degree in Development Studies (BA) also from the University of Vienna. She further completed the postgraduate training in Emergency Psychology and Psychological Crisis Management at the Sigmund Freud Private University and was a lecturer for Statistics at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Vienna. Since June 2019, she has been working on her dissertation in Communication Sciences, investigating the cognitive and emotional aspects of the digitization of fiction reading.
