Tobias was a research associate at the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna as a part of the research project Tango on a Tightrope, funded by the Austrian National Bank. Before that, he worked in the H2020 project REMINDER (Role of European Mobility and its Impacts in Narratives, Debates and EU Reforms). His main research interests include quantitative text analysis, political communication and social media. He gained his Master's degree from the University of Vienna in 2016 with a thesis on capabilities of political participation on social media. He successfully defended his PhD thesis in September 2021 and is now a post-doctoral researcher at the Berlin Social Science Center.
