On December 16, 2020, Esther Greussing defended her dissertation at University of Vienna.

The members of her dissertation committee Prof. Sophie Lecheler, Prof. Julia Metag and Prof. Sabine Einwiller as well as her supervisor Prof. Hajo G. Boomgaarden were impressed with Esther's performance.
