In 2018, Austria celebrates 100 years of democracy – time to critically analyse our democracy and talk about its future. This is what the University of Vienna’s semester question in the winter semester is about:
"How much does democracy mean to us?"
After a short introduction by former Austrian President Heinz Fischer, the former German Federal President Joachim Gauck will give a keynote speech on the topic.
Subsequently, our very own Hajo Boomgaarden (and others) will take part in a panel discussion.
When?
Monday, 15 January 2018, 6 pm
