OPINION was officially launched in Brussels on September 22.
The interdisciplinary network with experts from communication science, computational linguistics, and computer science will work on the automated measurement of opinions in digital discourse. To significantly advance the use of computational methods for studying opinionated text, OPINION will provide the much-needed conceptual framework, methodological integration, and training.
CCL members Fabienne Lind, Annie Waldherr, and Hajo Boomgaarden will be mainly involved in working group 1 (Theory) and 2 (Tools) of the ACTION and are looking forward to collaborating with researchers across Europe, Israel, and the US.
